Delicious Sunday Roast beef with interesting, tasty veg - not just boiled stuff - and great spuds and Yorkies. Somehow managed to fit in a very good bread and butter pudding and even better cheesecake afterwards.
Definitely worth to visit. Tasty food, very nice and helpful staff. Peri-peri chicken excellent prepared. Great spiced and juicy. Excellent ravioli. Rare and very good ales and cider. And the most important: 2 cats live in the restaurant. They’re lovely.
We went there with a quick search on google maps and we didn’t disappoint. Foods were amazing and worth the money spent. Staff is also very helpful and the place is nice and cozy.
Located on the high street, had dinner for 8 on a Saturday night. Service was very slow. Took ages to get our order in so two courses took 2.5 hours. The starters of prawn and calamari was below average. Prawn on bread is blend. Calamari looked like it came out of a pre battered preparation. The mains of fish was good. Accompaniments was average . The rack of lamb looked good. Mark up for wine ok- just need more decent wine selection . Interior minimalist.
First time experience of this Restaurant & bar.... Arrived early as me & my good lady out for a break & decided to stay in village. We were the first, early customers to walk in b4..!!! I think they had just actually opened..... But what a great welcoming,... Please come in.. Sit down... You eating!!... Or just having drink,... We will do ANYTHING u wish, so we had a drink, then another & then it went on with restaurant getting fuller and fuller, we did not eat, but wish we had, but had late afternoon tea & Spa elsewhere earlier, but I kid u not... The staff are spot on, good Banter, the food looked amazing, the premises are spotless, they have a piano large,... See photo, & I couldn't have asked for a better, early evenening out, as we were doing every pub /restaurant in town,,.. The manager reminded me of Rocky in rocky 5 film as he was so genuine & talking to all customers & also cooking & his words were like Gino.. Will definitely return for a meal, Well done Guys... Ciao Ella, Rob & Kirst x
Just got back from taking dad for an amazing Father’s Day lunch. The staff where so much fun and the food was absolutely fantastic. Definately recommended
It is difficult to find a proper Italian restaurant around and this one was certainly a surprise. The food tasted as good as back home, fresh good ingredients put together perfectly. But the cake really was a revelation… some of the finest Italian recipes, light, well balanced, different textures and tenperatures… one of the best frangipane cakes I have ever had! I did not expect to find this rare place in Midhurst but it made my sunday!
Firstly, the food... It. Was. Amazing! We had the pork belly and lamb shank, both meats were beautifully tender. The pork belly was the best I've ever had anywhere and being one of my favourite dishes, I've had it at quite a few places! We also had the calamari to start which again was beautifully tender and tasted great! Can't recommend enough just based on the food! The service was great too, polite, informative, down to earth and personable. We had attended a sushi tasting session at red.h nearly an hour earlier and when we returned for our meal booking they remembered us (having only seen us briefly in the VERY busy restaurant) and welcomed us back, a welcoming that felt honestly genuine despite the chaos they were still recovering from! Will we be back? Absolutely! 100%! Also, another nice touch, when we booked our table (by phone, can also be done online) I got a text message the day before our booking asking to confirm or cancel the booking (simply reply with a 1 to confirm or 9 to cancel). I just felt this was a nice way to remind me and if I'd managed to forget about the booking I'd have easily been able to cancel. Though now I've eaten here, the next time I book to eat at red.h wild horses wouldn't keep me away!
